Pantsless, Day 7: Taylor | The Fashion Dungjen

It's 10:31 p.m. Only an hour and a half more of pants-less week. This has definitely been an experience. To the woman in Chicago who gave up her pants for an entire year: You are a badass, my pants-less sister. Seriously, though. I'm not quite sure how you handle it in day-to-day operations, but this was no small task. It might seem silly and easy, but you really don't understand just what exactly you give up when you give up on pants. Some things you might not consider: sitting Indian style, late-night/all-night study/homework sessions without sweatpants, wind. Certainly there are more that I'm overlooking. Oh, maybe we could mention the freaks, creeps and weirdos who cat call and honk when you're walking down the street. Maybe I should mention the awkward stares and the, "That girl is a freak-of-nature psychopath," comments when the weather was in single digits earlier this week.

Speaking of the weather, for all you non-Cincinnatians out there, the weather was a solid 75 degrees today. I would just like you to know that it was around 5 degrees on Monday. And they say global warming doesn't exist? Booyah.

Although it's easy to be a Debbie Downer about being pantsless, this week has brought new insight into my wardrobe. My "closet," by the way, is now [even more of] a total disaster. I'm anxious to drum up a new challenge. If anyone has a suggestion or wants us to give something a try, I'll round up some more volunteers - or maybe the same ones will stick around - and we'll give it a whirl. I have a couple thoughts on what could happen next, but I'm very open to suggestions.

I think my next personal blog challenge is to show that mixing black and brown in an outfit is an outdated rule. Expect that in the near future. In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed our experiment. Please let me know if you have any comments, questions, concerns, rhythms, rhymes, poems, salutations, monologues, dialogues or maybe an interpretive dance to share with The Fashion Dungjen followers. I'll speak for all when I say we'd love to see you break it down in the name of fashion.

How long is the challenge? WHOA while I survive without pants sometimes, I can still do it that long.

It was a week-long challenge. Today was the last day, thank goodness! Some days were easier than others. Sometimes I just wanted to forget the entire project and just wear pants. I'm excited to get dressed tomorrow!
